Thailand's beauty culture craze

If there's a place in Asia where health and beauty tourism is enjoying its peak, It is no other than Thailand.
Yes, South Korea has its fair share or probably the bigger frame of the health and beauty tourism picture but Thailand is eyeing a greater potential of notching the top spot; offering cost- efficiency,highly-skilled doctors, the admirable medical reputation the country has gotten through the years and adding up the extravagant tourist landmarks that foreigners can truly appreciate and enjoy after the nursing bed. What's not to like?

Health and Beauty industry particularly tourism has become so evident and influential that it has magnetized the consumer market and businesses' attention vastly to its direction. Food and pharmaceutical companies used this opportunity to form a new niche to boost sales. They have incorporated "beauty" in their products infusing it with "supplements" that promise better skin, slimmer figure, youth, and a lot more than you can ever imagine. The more common types of supplements come in forms of collagen and glutathione. Because of this new trend in the food and drug industry, it is now unsurprising to encounter candies, bottled teas, or even cup noodles infused with collagen and glutathione sitting over the store shelves in Thailand.
Bringing it to Brick & Mortar
The number of Beauty clinics has also ballooned to its hype. With no statistics needed, you can easily notice that beauty clinics are expanding numerously greater than fast food chains; are getting wider franchise, and attracting more customers than the steak house operating on the brink of bankruptcy because of desperate price promotions just to keep up with the soaring demand of the health and beauty industry.
Hospitals that offer beauty and aesthetics are also a prime destination for those who have the budget but not necessarily the best you can get. Matter of fact, some clinics can do square competition with established hospitals; which proves that Thailand has the access on technology and credibility from small scale clinics to huge hospitals.
With this as the current situation in Thailand, Thais and patrons of medical tourism abroad are already turning heads left and right, just to be on the best beauty centers in town. All these clinics promise breakthroughs, superior results and claims to be the leader of the industry out of their own perspective. This could be tough and tricky especially for foreigners to book accommodations and services with all the convincing advertisement plaguing all kinds of media.
So how do you sieve what's hot from what's not?
There might be a lot of things to consider; but the first thing to check is whether the clinic you are putting on your list is approved by the country's ministry of public health, ISO's or any other authorized organizations. This could be the most crucial as you are putting your health and beauty on gamble.
Do your homework; research on the treatment your planning to get. Always know what to expect. If you are a foreigner, you should be marking this as your first. Thailand is not an English-speaking country, so you might want to avoid misunderstandings and misleading information that could put you to medically undesirable situations. However, Thai doctors are able to communicate in English so make good relationships with them.
Word of mouth, trustworthy referrals from sources that are reliable or from friends that had already undergone procedures at your clinic is definitely a big,big help. Although results vary from one person to another, Isn't it a relief when someone you personally know has guaranteed you of satisfaction beforehand?
Take advantage of technology. Visit Internet forums, read articles, check customer reviews of the clinic and don't forget to check their website (if they have). It could be really shallow but this is where most of prospective clients start. Gather information and once you have the guts and the money, you can now proceed on booking for your health and beauty services in Thailand.

  1. Your blog is very informative. Eating mindfully has been very hard for people these days. It's all because of their busy schedules, work or lack of focus on themselves. As a student I must admit that I have not been eating mindfully but because of this I will start now. It could help me enjoy my food and time alone. Eating mindfully may help me be aware of healthy food and appreciating food.ฉีด หน้า เรียว
