There are a lot of advantages that one can reap when choosing the “go abroad for procedures” option. But, in order to set expectations and to paint a clearer, more realistic picture of what it really means to get dental work in Thailand, we also need to consider the cons.

PROS

If there is waiting involved, the staff will make sure that you’re comfortable by offering a newspaper and a free drink with free internet to boot.
• Modern equipment. Thailand’s top hospitals and clinics are also equipped with the modern machinery. The standards of cleanliness and service are high so the same is to be expected with the equipment.

CONS

• There’s going to be travelling involved. Because it is still considered a trip, you’ll have to go through all that hassles of packing, booking, walking, queuing and all the other stuff that goes with travelling to another place.

  Services are not easily accessible. This one is a given since you have to travel a number of miles before you can actually undergo whatever procedure you need doing. Let’s say you chipped your tooth. You can’t exactly go next door and have it fixed.
